Flower power
A 1920s classic goes Technicolor for the 2020s. Heinrich Helm’s robust all-rounder dazzles with a bouquet of psychedelic floral shades. Italy’s first fountain pen designer could never have imagined how his original, minimalist model would flourish a century after its creation. Now, his trusty silhouette offers a selection of flower-bed finishes for vibrant spirits, creative souls and dapper dressers.
Many of the innovations that made fountain pens essential tools of 1920s and 1930s life sprang from the mind of Heinrich ‘Elmo’ Helm. The Technical Director at Italy’s first pen factory was industrious and ambitious. Though he left the company in 1928, his vision for a comfortable, reliable pen made at reasonable cost saw his designs – and his nickname – become a mainstay of Italian offices and classrooms for decades.
